Block+ Testing out build

Posted in All Posts, Blocks+ on January 20th, 2012 by David

I’ve recently been converting my .EXE games into HTML5 games, so it makes it easy for people to play in their browser. The first one going through this change is the new game I’m working on called Block+. The game is in a very early stage, so there isn’t much of a game right now. However, if anyone wishes to play it and give some feed back on what you’d like to see in the game, please feel free to leave a comment on this post!

Education & Games

002

There are two things I really enjoy doing that I feel are beneficial to my life:

1) Creating art
2) Helping people

I think if I was given the opportunity, I wouldn’t mind being an art teacher for kids. I know it’s not very profitable, but money isn’t that important to me; As long as it makes me happy and I can live comfortably.

In the past, I’ve taken on educational projects, such as Prime, as a group effort. This time around,  I’ve decided to create a simple yet fun math game on my own. The idea is to make math fun for kids, so they can better retain the information.

The following screen shots are of the game in its early stages of development. I’m trying to get the basic mechanics down and then I will add the polish.

The goal is to Multiply, Divide, Add, and Subtract to get the the goal number. You have 100 steps to make this happen. The less steps you use to complete this goal the more bonus points you recieve at the end of the round.
